My sister in Christ, Leanni Tibbetts, recently shared her testimony on her show, and she invited me to sit with her and walk her through her story. A week before we filmed it, I felt a need to fast. God has been working on my heart posture for EVERY single thing. I also did not know what would surface through her story, and the weight of being a safe vessel, free of my own fears, trauma, or emotional residue, was placed heavily on my heart. Thank you Holy Spirit.
She spoke openly about God’s redirection away from aviation. She is a pilot, and walking away from something you have trained for since your teenage years, something that shaped your identity and public image, requires obedience that cannot be explained away. It was a persistent nudge from God that would not leave her alone until she listened.
She also shared the work of healing from childhood sexual abuse. What stood out most was the battle she experienced right before confessing to her family. There are wounds the body remembers even when the mind tries to forget. When the truth came into the light, her healing journey followed, which she explained beautifully. Scripture tells us that when we confess, we are healed (James 5:16). What is hidden keeps power.
We also spoke about honoring your parents. She reminded us that honoring your father and mother is a commandment with a promise attached to it. She spoke with such honesty and wisdom, I invite you to watch and take it in.
Watching her move with grace, gratitude, and guts has been inspiring. To place yourself in the open with Christ as your foundation is never easy, so I pray for those who are willing to shine God’s light/truth. Not just those who speak about it, but those who actually walk it. The attacks are really different for them. As someone who once criticized what I couldn't understand, I now see the importance of this work and the importance of us praying constantly for our brothers and sisters.
This episode is a reminder that healing is not rushed, obedience is not always understood, and faith is not proven in comfort, but in surrender.
